American Commercial Barge Line (ACBL) is seeking a Marine Mechanic based out of Cairo, IL to maintain and repair towboat fleet machinery and systems. Responsibilities include inspection, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of main propulsion and auxiliary systems to ensure safe operation along the Mississippi River corridor.

The role requires 5+ years of mechanical maintenance, TWIC, and a valid driver's license, with on-call weekend/night shifts.

Formación

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years mechanical maintenance experience and repairs of associated equipment.
• Must possess and maintain an active TWIC
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Live within reasonable driving distance of assigned location

Responsabilidades

• Perform all work in accordance with ACBL safety & environmental policies.
• Maintain all equipment on fleet vessels in proper working order and repair engines, generators, and auxiliary machinery as needed.
• Troubleshoot using an electric multi-meter and document routine maintenance.
• Maintain documentation and inventory of spare parts for repairs.
• Assist outside vendors and help with repairs to mainline vessels; be on-call weekends and nights during assigned weeks.
