Job summary

American Commercial Barge Line is seeking Marine Mechanics to join their team in Cairo, IL. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing towboat fleet vessels along the Mississippi River and its tributaries, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of mechanical maintenance experience, hold an active TWIC and a valid driver’s license, and live within reasonable driving distance of Cairo.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of mechanical maintenance experience and repairs of associated equipment.
• Must meet ACBL physical examination requirements.
• Must possess and maintain an active TWIC card.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Must live within reasonable driving distance of Cairo, IL location.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair towboat fleet vessels along the Mississippi River and its tributaries.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform preventative maintenance to ensure vessel readiness.
• Collaborate with team to ensure safe and efficient operation of all equipment.
