Job summary

Brunswick, through its Boston Whaler brand in Edgewater, FL, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for a May–August 2027 full-time program. You will analyze processes, model layouts, and support lean initiatives across fiberglass/resin operations.

The role requires at least 2 years toward an engineering degree, Lean Six Sigma knowledge, and strong teamwork as you help design, test, and validate new parts for marine products.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years toward a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Basic Lean Six Sigma knowledge.
• Experience utilizing engineering tools and methods in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, MS Project.
• Strong communication, people skills and ability to work independently in a fiberglass/resin environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes using engineering tools and techniques.
• Conduct manpower forecasts, capacity analysis, resource leveling, etc.
• Assist in implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods.
• Study, analyze and reduce variation in critical manufacturing processes.
• Create 3D-models of plant layouts to aid in building layouts.
