Job summary

Brunswick, a global marine leader, is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for the Boston Whaler site in Edgewater, FL. This full‑time summer internship (May–August 2027) offers hands-on experience in R&D at our Technology Center, applying classroom knowledge to real-world marine engineering projects.

You will assist design and development, create CAD models and drawings, work with suppliers, and contribute to testing and documentation efforts.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
• CAD experience with 2-D/3-D modeling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in developing and executing new product ideas.
• Develop mechanical components, plumbing, fuel, water, and propulsion systems.
• Create 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Communicate with suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Perform evaluations, testing, and generate reports as needed.
• Develop documentation to support manufacturing ( drawings, work instructions ).
• Assist with ECN creation and changes and support manufacturing and customer service.
