Job summary

Boston Whaler Edgewater, FL, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. You’ll analyze processes, perform capacity and manpower studies, and help implement Lean Six Sigma methods to cut costs and boost productivity. You’ll model layouts in CAD and support new product CAD work across brands.

The role runs May–August 2027, full-time onsite with relocation assistance. Strong engineering fundamentals and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Basic Lean Six Sigma knowledge.
• Experience utilizing engineering tools and methods in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, MS Project.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes using engineering tools and techniques.
• Conduct studies: manpower forecasts, capacity analysis, resource leveling.
• Assist in Lean Six Sigma tool implementation and methodologies.
• Study and reduce variation in critical processes.
• Maintain documentation on related studies and analyses.
• 3D-modeling of plant layout to aid building layouts.
• Support internship projects including CAD creation and vendor specs.
