Job summary

Brunswick Corporation's Boston Whaler team in Edgewater, FL is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for a May–August 2027 full-time internship. You will work with engineers to translate classroom concepts into real-world marine product developments, including fiberglass molding, CAD modeling, and testing.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning, collaboration, and exposure to manufacturing processes across multiple brands within the Brunswick Boat Group.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States immediately, without sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Assist Engineers in developing and executing new product ideas into manufacturable products.
Help maintain project schedules to meet company goals.
Develop mechanical components, plumbing, fuel and water systems, and propulsion systems within cost targets.
Create 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for new products.
Communicate with suppliers during design and to resolve issues.
Perform technical evaluations, testing and generate reports as needed.
Provide integration and troubleshooting support to manufacturing.
Generate construction drawings and process work instructions.
Support engineering changes (ECNs) and documentation.
