Job summary

Nautique Boat Company in Orlando, FL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering intern to support the Industrial Engineering team in improving production efficiency, quality, and waste reduction across boat manufacturing. You will research, design, and develop processes, layouts, and equipment, and participate in cross-functional projects that advance continuous improvement.

You should be a hands-on, organized self-starter with strong Excel skills, solid problem analysis, and good communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in the marine industry or boating preferred.
• Hands-on attitude in a manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work 20 hours per week.
• Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing understanding.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop manufacturing processes including production flow and equipment.
• Prepare layouts of buildings and equipment.
• Source and cost-justify tools and equipment for manufacturing methods.
• Analyze costs, quality, and efficiency to reduce waste.
• Represent manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
• Accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
