Job summary

Sea Ray Boats is seeking a Holecutter to drill and trim holes in fiberglass hulls and components. The role requires reading blueprints, measuring precisely, and using hand-held drills, hole saws, grinders, and routers to meet quality standards.

The position operates in a manufacturing setting with exposure to fiberglass dust and noise. Candidates should have a high school diploma and be capable of lifting and working in a fast-paced environment; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to safely operate hand-held cutting and drilling tools used to cut fiberglass components.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, measurements, templates, and basic blueprints.
• Ability to visually inspect cut openings for size, placement, and quality and make minor corrections.
• Ability to wear required PPE (respirators, face shields, gloves, eye protection) for extended periods.
• Ability to work overtime and in a fast-paced, noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Locate and mark hole positions on fiberglass hulls, decks, and molded components using blueprints and measurements.
• Cut, drill, and trim holes in fiberglass parts with hand-held tools per specs.
• Finish grinding around cut openings for proper fit and smooth edges.
• Inspect openings to verify size and placement; correct defects as needed.
• Safely operate cutting, drilling, and grinding equipment with PPE and safety practices.
• Maintain tools and work area in clean, organized condition for safety and efficiency.
• Transport molds and parts within the facility using forklifts/tuggers.
