Job summary

AVMAC LLC is seeking an Engineering Technician Marine Engineering Configuration Analyst in Chesapeake, VA. The role supports configuration management for Ready Reserve Force vessel systems, analyzes NSE data, and recommends updates to equipment hierarchies and spare parts inventories.

The position requires HM&E expertise, shipboard experience, and the ability to travel for audits and logistics overhauls. Strong reading of technical manuals and proficiency with MS Office are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years related marine engineering experience.
• Detailed knowledge of HM&E shipboard systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings and blueprints.
• Proficiency with MS Office and database tools.
• Prior USN/Coast Guard background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and research support for material and equipment procurement activities.
• Develop and implement processes for engineering analysis and provisioning.
• Maintain equipment and parts information in automated logistics databases.
• Validate technical data and support overhaul and inventory projects.
• Occasionally travel to perform configuration audits aboard vessels.
