Job summary

AVMAC LLC seeks an Engineering Technician Marine Engineering Configuration Analyst in Chesapeake, VA. The role manages engineering analysis, configuration monitoring, and NSE-based data to ensure accurate vessel configurations, manuals, and spare parts inventories.

The position requires 5+ years in marine engineering, offshore/shipboard experience, and proficiency in MS Excel, blueprints, and technical manuals. Travel to US-based RRF vessels is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Data Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years related marine engineering experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with shipboard HM&E systems and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and research support for material and equipment procurement and determine critical spare parts.
• Develop and implement process improvements related to engineering analysis, provisioning, and configuration management.
• Maintain equipment and parts data in automated logistics databases and validate technical data.
• Support overhaul and inventory projects and conduct onboard audits to verify configurations and inventories.
• Travel as needed to support audits and validation activities aboard RRF vessels.
