Job summary

Hornblower Corp in San Francisco is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee the electrical propulsion and energy storage systems on our vessels. You will implement preventive maintenance, troubleshoot advanced power systems, and train staff to ensure safe, reliable operations.

You will lead projects, manage teams, and maintain records while coordinating with management to meet safety and regulatory standards. A BS in EE/ME and hands-on marine electrical experience are required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in EE, ME, MET, FET or related field is required.
• At least 4 years of specialized industry experience; management discretion applies.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and procedures.
• HAZWOPER 40-hour certificate, forklift, CPR/First Aid certifications.
• Experience with CMMS software and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management, team and safety oversight for maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot and service lithium ESS, DC fast chargers, inverters and power systems.
• Maintain electronic records of work and support SEAT operations.
• Mentor crew and ensure compliance with audits and contractual requirements.
• Maintain tools and workspace; ensure regulatory and safety standards.
