Job summary

Hornblower Group is seeking a hands-on Marine Engineer to support all phases of engineering projects and lead diesel engine repairs across the fleet. The role requires fabricating parts and solutions from scratch, supervising team work, and ensuring adherence to company and industry standards.

As a leader within the Engineering department, you will mentor Marine Mechanics, drive project management, and maintain tools and logs with a focus on reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• 2 years of industry experience.
• Functional understanding of electricity and safety practices.
• HAZWOPER certification (40 hours) is required.
• Forklift Certification and CPR/First Aid are required.
• Welding, brazing and soldering experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead diesel engine repairs across the fleet.
• Recommend and install new systems and solutions.
• Repair pilothouse electronics and vessel media systems.
• Mentor Marine Mechanics and manage projects.
• Ensure maintenance scheduling and best practices are followed.
