Job summary

Kokosing is seeking a Foreman for marine dredge projects across the Mid-Atlantic, including Hopewell, VA and Baltimore, MD. The role involves supervising crews, coordinating activities, and ensuring safety and quality on dredging operations.

Expect to lead crews of 2–5 workers, plan two-week sequences, and maintain production records. Base hourly range is $40–$50, with standard benefits and a strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Five years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate dredging crews.
• Strong safety record and PPE adherence.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in dredging operations.
• Reviews plans and documents, answers questions before work begins.
• Directs and trains crew per contract drawings and specs within budget.
• Acts as OSHA competent person on the job.
• Plans materials, equipment, and sequencing with supervision and project engineer.
• Conducts daily huddles to explain tasks and train inexperienced workers.
• Ensures safety regulations and PPE usage are followed.
• Maintains time sheets, production records, and daily job diary.
