Job summary

Kokosing is seeking a Foreman to lead marine construction projects across the Mid-Atlantic, including Hopewell, VA and Baltimore, MD. The role focuses on supervising crews, reviewing plans, and ensuring safety and quality on bridges, piers, wharves, and revetments.

Responsibilities include directing work, coordinating materials, maintaining records, conducting daily huddles, and ensuring adherence to project drawings and specifications. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Five years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Responsibilities

• Reviews documents and plans; answers questions before work proceeds.
• Directs and trains crew per contract drawings and specs within budget.
• Acts as OSHA defined competent person on site.
• Plans sequence of activities with Superintendent and Project Engineer; two‑week planning.
• Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials; sets up machines and equipment.
• Maintains time and production records and daily job diary.
• Holds weekly safety meetings and enforces safety regulations.
