Job summary

Matrix New World Engineering, a part of True Environmental and its partner firms, seeks an Engineer Diver to support the Marine and Coastal practice in Florham Park and NYC offices. The role focuses on field inspections, reporting, rehabilitation documents, and waterfront construction oversight in the NYC area.

Candidates should have 0–5 years of inspection/design experience, with strong communication skills and a readiness to travel and work outdoors in variable conditions.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform waterfront inspections of marine and coastal infrastructure (piers, wharves, bulkheads, seawalls, revetments).
• Develop inspection reports and rehabilitation construction documents.
• Provide waterfront construction oversight in the NYC metropolitan area.
• Support dive operations including safety planning and equipment maintenance.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies in the field.
