Matrix New World Engineering, part of True Environmental, seeks an Engineer Diver to support Marine Asset Management in the NYC metro area including Florham Park. The role involves field inspections, inspection reports, rehab construction documents, and waterfront oversight.

0–5 years' experience and ADCI dive certifications are preferred. The position requires diving operations, travel, and outdoor work in varied weather.

Qualifications

• 0–5 years of relevant professional experience.
• ADCI Entry Level Tender/Diver Certification.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, structural, ocean, coastal, or related) from ABET-accredited program.
• EIT certificate (or Engineer Intern).
• Current commercial dive physical meeting ADCI Consensus Standards.
• Current safety certifications including OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR/AED, O2 Provider, Bloodborne Pathogens.
• TWIC or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Valid driver's license and driving record.
• Ability to travel and work outdoors in variable conditions.
• Strong quantitative/math and analytical skills.
• MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform waterfront inspections of marine and coastal infrastructure (piers, wharves, bulkheads, seawalls, revetments).
• Collect field data to document conditions using measurements, sketches, tests, point clouds, and emerging tech.
• Develop detailed inspection reports tailored to client needs; leverage emerging tech to improve efficiency.
• Support development of rehabilitation and new construction design documents.
• Support design calculations for inspection and rehab projects.
• Assist with dive operations including safety planning, equipment maintenance, and training.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies in the field.
