Job summary

Orion is seeking a skilled helper to support welders, pipefitters, carpenters and other craft workers at marine project locations. You will work under a Barge Foreman, Crane Operator, Boat Captain, and site personnel to ensure successful project completion.

Responsibilities include moving and positioning pieces, assisting with tools and materials, and performing duties that require dexterity while prioritizing safety and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year construction or craft worker helper experience.
• Previous welding, pipefitting, piledriving, or carpentry desirable.
• Ability to work without close supervision and follow safety training.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled craft workers to complete marine construction projects.
• Move and handle work pieces, tools, and supplies as directed.
• Support welders, pipefitters, and carpenters with assigned tasks.
• Follow safety and company policies; stop work if unsafe.
• Maintain personal safety and the safety of coworkers.
• Report violations and participate in safety trainings.
