Job summary

Orion in Louisiana seeks a field helper to support Welders, Pipefitters and Carpenters on marine projects in the Lake Charles and Baton Rouge area. You will work with a Barge Foreman and crew to keep construction moving safely.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and hands-on tasks such as handling tools, moving materials, and assisting with formwork and concrete. A minimum of one year of craft helper experience is required; some safety training may be provided.

Qualifications

• Be able to communicate effectively with others.
• Understand and follow specific directions from supervision.
• Complete safety or job training as required by customer/contract.
• Work without close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled craft workers such as Welders, Pipefitters/Carpenters, or other craft workers in performing duties.
• Move work pieces, tools, and supplies as directed.
• Support safety and compliance across site operations.
