Job summary

ORION is seeking a dedicated Laborer Helper to support welders, pipefitters, carpenters and other skilled craft workers on southern Louisiana marine projects. The role requires assisting with material handling, site preparation, and safety compliance under supervision.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of construction exposure, the ability to follow directions, and a proactive, safety-minded attitude to work on barges and onshore sites.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have at least 1 year of construction or craft helper field experience.
• Previous experience in welding, pipefitting, piling, or carpentry is desirable.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, follow directions, and complete safety training.

Responsibilities

• Support skilled craft workers such as welders, pipefitters, or carpenters on marine projects.
• Assist with moving materials, handling tools, and preparing work areas per supervisor instructions.
• Follow safety protocols and report hazards to supervision.
