Job summary

Stabbert Marine & Industrial seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent to own and lead a multi-year pipeline of capital and facility improvement projects across Ballard and Anacortes. This role emphasizes project leadership, scope definition, budgets, schedules, and contractor coordination rather than day-to-day trades.

The ideal candidate has hands-on carpentry knowledge, a strong trade background, and proven ability to manage multiple projects, read blueprints, ensure OSHA/compliance,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of construction, facilities, or capital project management.
• Experience managing a rolling portfolio of multiple projects over a multi-year horizon.
• Foreman, superintendent, project manager, or leadership experience required.
• Strong carpentry/general construction background; shipyard/marine experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with project management tools and communications.
• Valid driver’s license and regular travel between Ballard and Anacortes.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and industrial safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Scope, plan, and execute facility and capital projects at both locations.
• Develop budgets, cost estimates, and schedules; track spend and report variances.
• Identify, vet, and manage outside contractors and vendors; evaluate bids and quotes.
• Coordinate procurement of materials, tools, and equipment.
• Serve as primary contact for project status, budget, schedule, and risk with leadership.
• Document scope changes and communicate cost/schedule impacts to leadership.
• Maintain accurate project documentation including scopes of work and permits.
• Ensure permits, inspections, and code compliance for projects at both sites.
• Provide field leadership and mentorship; inspect workmanship and safety.
• Read blueprints and project specifications; supervise multiple concurrent projects.
