Job summary

Arc Boat Company seeks an experienced engineer to assemble and integrate electrical and mechanical systems for high-voltage marine applications. The role includes wiring, diagnostics, and supporting sea trials on vessels, with travel up to 75%.

You will report to the Commercial Build Engineer, work on 1000V DC and 480V AC systems, and help develop production builds while prioritizing safety and quality in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience with high-voltage systems (EV, industrial, marine).
  • Familiarity with CAN, Modbus, Ethernet or similar electrical comms.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, system diagrams and drawings.
  • Experience using electrical diagnostic tools (multimeters) to verify functionality.
  • Experience building processes from inception to execution with work instructions.
  • Up to 75% travel (dockside and on-water).
  • Able to stand 6–10 hours/day and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • U.S. Person per ITAR compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Assembling and integrating electrical and mechanical systems
  • Building and routing wire harnesses, including fiber optic assemblies
  • Installing and terminating electrical components and interfaces (CAN, Ethernet, Modbus)
  • Diagnosing electrical issues in 1000V DC and 480V AC systems
  • Assembling pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Supporting development builds and prototypes
  • Supporting sea trials and customer-facing operations
  • Root-cause troubleshooting with efficient resolutions
