Job summary

ABB is seeking a Marine Field Service Engineer to install, modify, test, repair, and inspect marine electrical equipment at customer sites. This role supports the Marine & Ports Division in the US, with hybrid work in Miramar, FL, or Houston, TX.

You will interpret drawings, coordinate field activities, and advance knowledge through training and manuals. The position requires 4+ years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience in electrical engineering or a similar field.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or another electrical technical field.
• Familiarity with marine/offshore work environment and procedures.
• Experience in marine power generation and power distribution.
• Preferred experience with ABB marine equipment.
• Ship electrician experience or experience from shipyards.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, test, repair, or inspect ABB products and equipment on site.
• Coordinate complex engineering activities for field projects.
• Interpret technical drawings and schematics and implement changes in the field.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment using field knowledge and training.
