Job summary

Sea Machines is seeking a Marine Sales Engineer in the Boston area to support customer acquisition by delivering technical expertise to the sales team. You will evaluate customer applications, shape technical strategies for proposals, and coordinate with suppliers to enable autonomous vessel integrations.

You will translate customer needs into practical marine solutions, contribute to training, and help drive field demonstrations and sea trials while traveling up to 10–30%.

Qualifications

• 5 years of marine technical sales/field service experience.
• Expert knowledge of marine vessels, navigation equipment and vessel systems.
• Comfortable working with propulsion, steering interfaces and perception sensors.
• Experience with marine industry software or USV offerings is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Marine Studies.
• Willingness to travel 10–30% domestically and internationally.
• Strong writing and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive processes that support the Sales team and customers in technical autonomous vessel integration.
• Assist in executing post sales action items across Sales to Engineering, Procurement, Field Support Depts.
• Manage communications with suppliers and partners required for system integrations and interfaces.
• Work with internal product & engineering teams to validate product requirements.
• Support field demonstration efforts and organize sea trial events and customer exercises.
• Provide back up support to sales & marketing for promotional events.
• Monitor the landscape for Federal business opportunities and requirements for programs.
• Provide administrative support for CRM system.
