Job summary

ZF Marine is seeking an Account Manager to manage and grow key customer accounts up to $5M by delivering sales support, technical expertise, and exceptional service. You will build lasting relationships with customers, distributors, OEMs, shipbuilders, and fleet operators through regular travel.

Qualifications

• BS or BA with marine account management experience required or 2-year degree with 8+ years in marine accounts.
• Knowledge of marine market dynamics and customer service excellence expected.
• Experience in sales roles, contract negotiations, and account growth.
• Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills; able to solve problems.
• Must be a self-starter, ethical, and able to multi-task under pressure.
• Willingness to travel 25% or more domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow customer accounts up to $5M by delivering sales support, technical expertise, and exceptional customer service for ZF Marine products.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, OEMs, shipbuilders, naval architects, fleet operators, and end users through regular travel.
• Support distributors through site visits, trade shows, training, and collaborative sales efforts to drive business growth.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding product availability, pricing, technical applications, parts, accessories, field service, and policies.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, quotations, files, and project documentation for reporting and data accuracy.
• Prepare forecasts, quotations, sales and visit reports, and collaborate with sales teams for data accuracy.
• Assist with inventory management, forecasting, sea trials, and other activities balancing customer needs with company objectives.
• Promote continuous improvement, teamwork, and employee development through training and engagement initiatives.
