Job summary

MarineMax Services Inc in Sarasota, FL seeks a Marina Manager to oversee daily dock operations, wet slips, dry storage, maintenance and the fuel dock. You will supervise staff, coordinate cleaning, reservations and payments, and ensure shops and vessels are safe and well cared for.

You will enforce marina rules, resolve customer issues, partner with other departments for events, plan for severe weather, and drive occupancy and profitability while delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Market, promote and lease annual water and dry storage slips.
• Resolve customer issues and build a loyal marina customer base.
• Manage safe and profitable marina operations.
• Invoice, collect and apply payments.
• Direct and schedule staff to perform maintenance and other building facilities, docks, customer areas and grounds.
• Determine when maintenance issues will require the use of a licensed contractor and schedule work.
• Communicate customer satisfaction standards to all personnel.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience for all visitors to the marina facility.
• Maintain and enforce marina rules to all guests and respond to rule violations.
• Partner with other departments to produce special events and promotions at the marina.
• Oversee severe weather planning to protect docks, vessels, equipment, team members and customers.
• Report boat damage to store and service manager and contact the customer if applicable.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations regarding marina operations.
• Implement safe, effective and efficient work procedures.
• Promote and participate in the MarineMax Safety Program; ensuring a safe workplace for all team members.
• Other duties as assigned
