Job summary

Safe Harbor Marinas is seeking a Materials Manager to oversee procurement of materials, equipment, supplies, and contracted services for marina operations and capital projects. You will ensure timely purchase orders, maintain vendor relationships, and support cost control initiatives across multiple projects.

The role involves invoice reconciliation, cost management, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to meet operational objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior marina procurement experience preferred.
• Experience with purchasing systems, purchase orders, and vendor management.
• Strong understanding of procurement practices, contract administration, and cost control.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing/ERP software systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager, Service Manager, Project Managers, and operational teams.
• Solicit quotations, evaluate bids, and procure materials, equipment, supplies, and contracted services.
• Create, issue, and manage purchase orders for vendors and contractors.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and completion of services.
• Monitor purchasing trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Source and qualify new suppliers and contractors that provide competitive pricing, quality products, and reliable service.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure responsiveness and performance.
• Track outstanding purchase orders, expedite deliveries when necessary, and proactively communicate delays.
• Review invoices and ensure costs are accurately matched to approved purchase orders and project budgets.
• Assign purchases and contractor costs to the appropriate projects, work orders, departments, or cost centers.
• Support budgeting efforts by monitoring procurement expenditures and identifying cost reduction opportunities.
• Continuously meet ongoing company goals.
• Available to work overtime when required.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.
