Job summary

Guest Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Specialist for Columbia Island Marina in Washington, DC. The role performs maintenance and repair on boat docks, buildings, and grounds, with a starting wage of 25 USD per hour.

You will work full-time under the Marina Manager, conduct inspections, repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and assist with security systems. The position requires a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Partial High School education; High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Strong customer service abilities; proactive in assisting customers and coworkers.
• Ability to recognize problems and communicate them to management.

Responsibilities

• Receive direction from the Marina Manager and assist in maintenance and repair of operations.
• Conduct scheduled inspections of buildings and equipment; repair malfunctions.
• Repair docks and a full range of facility systems.
• Perform major repairs to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration equipment as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance and upkeep of marina buildings and grounds.
• Respond to emergencies and safety issues, including fire alarms; secure systems as needed.
• Lock and secure buildings; monitor and reset security systems.
• Assist with inventory and security of supplies; ensure safe environment.
