Chesapeake Yacht Club, Inc. seeks energetic Dock Hand / Maintenance staff for waterfront operations. The role blends frontline member hospitality with daily marina upkeep, vessel handling, and light facility repairs on our docks, grounds, and club amenities.

The successful candidate will maintain safety and cleanliness, assist with events, and work flexible hours within a private, family-oriented club environment.

Qualifications

• Willing to train candidates with a strong work ethic.
• Basic knowledge of boating, knot-tying, and line handling preferred.
• Hands-on experience with minor repairs and maintenance is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely catch, tie, and secure vessels; adjust lines for tides.
• Operate the fuel dock and pump-out stations with safety protocols.
• Greet members and guests with a professional attitude.
• Daily cleaning and prep of facilities, restrooms, and docks.
• Perform minor repairs; carpentry, plumbing, painting as needed.
• Maintain grounds and storage areas; report hazards to GM.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of club events.
