Safe Harbor Marinas is seeking an Account Receivable Specialist to support marina management with accounts receivable, collections efforts, and reconciliation. The role focuses on reviewing delinquent balances, contacting customers, and maintaining precise records while coordinating with vendors.

The position requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Overtime availability and coverage duties are expected as needed to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
• 2 years’ relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Any skills considered standard that an Accounting Assistant should possess.

Responsibilities

• Review Member accounts for delinquent balances, verify accuracy of balances.
• Follow SOP related to timing of collection calls, emails, and impound notices.
• Speaking with vendors and suppliers to ensure charges are accurate and the payments are received in a timely manner.
• Communicate with customers to discuss account statuses, charges, or discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate record keeping of all collection attempts, balances collected, and status updates.
• Provide weekly updates to Management on status of delinquent accounts and collection efforts.
• Work closely with Assistant General Manager on boat auction procedures.
• Assist with marina office tasks and coverage as needed, including assistance in gathering appropriate insurance for Members and inventory receiving as needed.
• Availability to work overtime to meet deadlines.
