Job summary

State Street Corporation seeks an Assistant Vice President for Wealth Custody & Clearing to lead margin operations design, implementation, and ongoing optimization within Trading & Asset Servicing. Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in margin, broker-dealer, clearing, custody, trading, or financial-services operations.
• Series 7 and Series 57 preferred or willingness to obtain, based on final responsibilities.
• Portfolio Margin experience, including operational oversight, is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously enhance the margin operating model translating regulatory, risk, contractual, and business requirements into procedures, controls, and workflows.
• Own day-to-day margin operations including margin calls, maintenance, extensions, restrictions, and settlements.
• Monitor margin reports and account activity, including buying power, concentrations, and elevated exposures.
• Apply Regulation T, FINRA 4210, SEC requirements, and firm policies to evaluate margin activity and escalate when needed.
• Coordinate timely resolution of margin calls and exceptions with clients, advisors, Apex, Risk, and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee concentration and house-margin risks, and coordinate responses to negative equity and liquidation scenarios.
• Support Risk coordination and data delivery for stress testing and risk reporting; liaise with Apex and clearing-firm teams.
• Contribute to brokerage operations including trading, corporate actions, and trade lifecycle processes, with automation and AI-enabled workflows.
