Job summary

Clear Street is modernizing the brokerage ecosystem with a cloud-native clearing and custody platform. We seek a Risk Manager to build and evolve risk frameworks for U.S. and international markets, covering equities and options for professional and active traders.

You will monitor risk, engage with clients, develop margin methodologies, and produce risk reports while collaborating with Technology, Product, and Operations to scale risk infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in trading risk, margin, brokerage risk, or related role covering equities and derivatives
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Financial Engineering required
• Master's degree or CFA/FRM designation preferred
• SIE, Series 7, Series 57 required
• Strong communication skills with traders, stakeholders, and regulators

Responsibilities

• Risk Monitoring & Oversight: monitor intraday and end-of-day risk exposures and margin requirements across Active client accounts
• Client Engagement: serve as primary risk contact for Active clients and review trading history and risk parameters
• Margin & Methodology: develop and maintain margin, risk, and stress-testing methodologies for the Active book
• Reporting & Infrastructure: generate ad-hoc and recurring risk reports and improve risk infrastructure
