Job summary

AbbVie Inc. in Chicago is seeking a Finance Analyst to support global inventory costing and margin reporting. You will perform cost analyses, monitor SAP margin postings, and ensure accurate monthly consolidations in a cross-functional environment.

The role requires strong Excel skills, cost accounting experience, and the ability to communicate complex results to partners across the organization. A bachelor's degree and 2+ years of related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
• Strong Excel skills; SAP experience preferred.
• Cost accounting in manufacturing and supply chain finance experience desirable.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Minimum 2+ years of progressive experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of worldwide consolidated inventory costs.
• Perform costing analyses and identify variance drivers.
• Monitor RPA for SAP margin-posting and verify margin entries.
• Run monthly analyses and reconciliations of margin reports.
• Coordinate changes to the deferred margin program with BTS.
• Partner with cross-functional teams for financial reporting.
• Resolve product- and SKU-level margin issues with affiliates.
• Prepare month-end margin journal entries including PPV/SRV transfers.
• Address margin and costing inquiries from affiliates.
• Investigate variances in monthly book-to-perpetual analysis.
• Support annual planning; perform ad hoc analyses.
