Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a cost accounting professional in Illinois to ensure accurate global inventory costs and related expenses. You will perform costing analyses, monitor SAP margin postings, and drive reconciliations across margin reports.

You will partner with BTS for deferred margin changes and support monthly closing activities. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, strong Excel and SAP experience, and 2+ years in cost accounting or manufacturing finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
• Proficient Excel skills required; SAP experience preferred
• Cost accounting in manufacturing and supply chain finance experience desired
• Strong analytical, communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
• Minimum 2+ years of progressive and related experience

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of worldwide consolidated inventory costs and expenses
• Perform costing analyses and identify key drivers of variances
• Monitor RPA used for SAP margin-posting and verify margins
• Conduct monthly analyses and reconciliations across margin reports
• Coordinate changes to the deferred margin program with BTS and test interfaces
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on processes and financial reporting
• Resolve margin issues with affiliates and ensure correct product setup
• Prepare month-end margin journal entries including PPV and SRV postings
• Address margin and costing inquiries from affiliates promptly
• Support annual planning and perform ad hoc analyses and projects
