Job summary

Global Impact Group LLC is seeking Malayalam OPI interpreters to support a USCIS contract. This remote role offers flexible scheduling, paid training, and opportunities for advancement.

Interpreters will provide real-time Malayalam-English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to interpreter standards. Requirements include native or near-native Malayalam and English, 2+ years of relevant interpreting experience, and

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Malayalam and English.
• 2+ years interpreting experience (immigration, community, legal, government preferred).
• Knowledge of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Malayalam-English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.
• Interpret accurately and impartially in immigration, legal, and administrative contexts.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
• Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge requests.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and QA reviews.
