Job summary

Central Point School District 6 is seeking an Educational Assistant III (MAPS+) at Scenic Middle School. This part-time role supports a MAPS+ teacher, providing instruction, small-group facilitation, and intensive assistance to students with special needs.

The position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) with options for higher education; training in CPI, First Aid, and related skills is encouraged. 181-day calendar may apply with district benefits.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (may be waived).
• Must have one of: Associate's degree, two years post-high school study, or passing score on reading/writing/math assessment.
• General knowledge of English language arts and mathematics.
• Completion of student restraint training within 30 days of hire.
• Willingness to participate in CPI, First Aid, Ukeru, EpiPen training.

Responsibilities

• Assist MAPS+ teacher in delivering instructional activities and reinforcing instruction.
• Provide intensive support to special needs students in MAPS+ with life skills guidance.
• Assist with IEP data collection and prepare for IEP/504 meetings as needed.
• Perform clerical duties and report safety, sanitary, and fire hazards.
