Job summary

Central Point School District 6 seeks an Educational Assistant III (MAPS+) to support instructional programs and provide intensive assistance to special needs students. You will help implement classroom activities, monitor progress, and reinforce instruction through small groups and individual work.

The role requires assisting with daily routines, managing life skills, and following district policies. A high school diploma or equivalent with either an associate's degree or two years of post-high

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent; may be waived.
• Must either hold an Associate's degree or have two years post-high school study, or pass district assessments.
• General knowledge of English language arts and mathematics.
• Must complete student restraint training within 30 days of hire.
• Willingness to participate in CPI, First Aid, Ukeru, epipen training.

Responsibilities

• Assist MAPS+ teacher in delivering instructional programs.
• Provide intensive support to special needs students in MAPS+ classroom.
• Lead small groups and individuals in supplementary exercises.
• Assist with meals, toileting, medical protocols, and behavioral interventions.
• Proctor assessments and maintain student records.
