Job summary

MassMEP is seeking a Workforce Pipeline Specialist to connect job seekers with manufacturing careers and help employers meet workforce needs. You will coordinate between participants, training providers, and MassMEP staff to build a strong talent pipeline.

You will support individuals through intake, career planning, and job readiness activities while engaging manufacturers to identify skills gaps and align training with industry demand. Occasional statewide travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in workforce development, human services, education, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in workforce development, case management, career services, job placement, or job development.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn CRM/workforce systems; manage multiple tasks with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized participant support including intake, skills assessment, and career planning.
• Identify training/credential pathways aligned with manufacturing employer needs.
• Assist with resume, interview prep, and workplace readiness.
• Match participants with employment, apprenticeships, internships, and work-based learning.
• Coordinate interviews and onboarding; liaise between participants and employers.
• Follow up to support retention and career advancement.
• Conduct employer outreach and maintain relationships to build a job opportunities pipeline.
• Support MACWIC program coordination, scheduling, tracking, and documentation.
