Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation in Racine, Wisconsin, seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to provide floor support, troubleshoot equipment issues, and assist with maintenance for accurate documentation in a manufacturing setting.

The role emphasizes identifying root causes, resolving problems independently or with SMEs, and collaborating with production to develop and modify SOPs and work instructions for minimal downtime and efficient processes.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree or higher in a technical field such as Industrial Maintenance, or Automated Manufacturing Systems Technology.
Reading and interpreting complex electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical drawings/blueprints/schematics.
Proficiency with automation and troubleshooting of robotic systems (Fanuc, KUKA) and motion control.
Experience with RCA and formal problem-solving methodologies.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot down equipment and systems (mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic) using RCA, 5Why, and similar techniques.
Interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and blueprints to diagnose issues.
Analyze real-time equipment data to guide troubleshooting decisions and report issues to the ME team.
Create and update process documentation including SOPs, PFMEAs, and control plans.
Support development and startup of new processes and equipment.
