Job summary

FuelCell Energy is seeking a Training Manager to coordinate and optimize operations training across production cells and departments. You will partner with supervisors, trainers, and leaders to ensure resources support workforce development and onboarding effectiveness.

You will maintain training records, track proficiency and qualifications, and help build sustainable training capacity aligned with manufacturing growth and data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, workforce development, or training coordination.
• Experience tracking qualifications, training progress, certifications, and proficiency.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and safety requirements.
• Experience with structured training systems and JBS/TWI is preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office, training databases and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop training strategies to improve onboarding and development timelines.
• Coordinate training across multiple cells, departments, and shifts.
• Identify training needs, prioritize resources, and maximize opportunities.
• Facilitate cross-training to build workforce flexibility.
• Ensure alignment of training with production schedules and objectives.
• Support annual and strategic workforce training plans.
• Evaluate training capacity and adjust as business needs change.
• Track records, qualification status, and proficiency milestones.
• Develop visual management tools to communicate training progress.
• Produce training performance reports for operations leadership.
• Monitor completion rates and readiness metrics.
• Maintain accurate training documentation and audit readiness.
