Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking a Maintenance Trainer to support our Manufacturing organization in Fremont, CA. The role focuses on building scalable training programs, enhancing technician capability, and improving equipment performance on the floor and in classrooms.

You will train technicians on PLCs, electrical schematics, and automated tooling, while collaborating with Maintenance, Production, Engineering, HR, and Safety to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in high-volume manufacturing (maintenance/engineering/operations).
• 3–5 years troubleshooting automated equipment.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, electrical schematics, I/O systems.
• Experience with automated manufacturing tools and equipment.
• Ability to read precision measurement instruments.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience delivering technical training or mentoring others.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple training initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal skills and cross-team influence.
• High attention to detail with follow-through.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• High School Diploma or GED; technical certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Flexibility to support changing shifts.
• Work on the floor and in classroom setting.
• Hands-on technical expert who can troubleshoot equipment and teach others.
• Structured trainer who can build scalable, repeatable programs.
• Collaborative partner across Maintenance, Production, Engineering, HR, and Safety.
