Job summary

Myfuelmaster seeks a Director of Manufacturing to lead manufacturing, assembly, QA, warehouse, and inventory operations. You will drive production planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement while partnering with Engineering to improve manufacturability and BOM traceability.

You will oversee cost management, inventory control, and cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Purchasing, Accounting, and Customer Service to meet delivery commitments and company objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 7-10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience implementing manufacturing strategies, policies, processes, and systems.
• Experience in production planning, inventory control, workforce development, and overall manufacturing performance.
• Proven track record of developing teams and fostering continuous improvement.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, compliance, and best practices.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related certifications preferred.
• Experience with external audits, inventory valuation, and regulatory compliance preferred.
• Technical knowledge of manufacturing materials, fabrication methods, and assembly processes preferred.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership.

Responsibilities

• Direct all manufacturing, assembly, quality assurance, warehouse, shipping, and material management operations to meet customer delivery commitments.
• Provide strategic and hands-on leadership for production planning, scheduling, inventory management, and operational performance.
• Conduct regular shop floor walkthroughs to monitor productivity and maintain efficiency.
• Ensure resources meet production requirements and delivery commitments.
• Establish and maintain manufacturing standards, SOPs, work schedules, and controls.
• Lead production to meet customer, contractual, and quality requirements.
• Manage inventory investment and material utilization.
• Support material planning, end-of-life strategies, and make-vs-buy analyses.
• Collaborate with Engineering on design for manufacturability and BOM accuracy.
• Participate in MRB and assess impacts of product changes and new introductions.
• Maintain labor estimates, manufacturing costs, and costing information for pricing decisions.
• Collaborate with several departments to validate BOMs and production capabilities.
• Lead investigations into defects, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Drive process improvements focusing on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Serve as manufacturing SME for ERP system reporting and analysis.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, reports, and analytics for manufacturing decisions.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual production reports and inventory metrics.
• Participate in operational review meetings with data-driven insights.
• Support internal/external audits and inventory reviews with documentation.
