Job summary

Southern-States-LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Training Manager to coordinate, deliver, and document training for manufacturing staff, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on the floor.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Compliance, the role partners with HR, EHS, Quality, Engineering, and Operations to support onboarding, qualification, cross-training, and continuous improvement across Hampton and Griffin, GA facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• Three or more years in manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
• Experience in training, coaching, or leading manufacturing employees.
• Experience developing training matrices, visual work instructions, and on-the-job programs.
• Ability to read SOPs, drawings, and quality specs.
• Strong verbal and written communication; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assess training needs and develop onboarding, safety, quality, and performance programs.
• Create on-the-job training plans and materials with subject-matter experts.
• Coordinate floor training across shifts and support new equipment adoption.
• Maintain training records, skills matrices, and qualification statuses.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in Lean, 5S, and standardized work.
