Job summary

PowerSecure is seeking a Manufacturing Technical Trainer to onboard, train, and develop Technicians I–Senior, delivering hands-on instruction for switchgear and power generation assembly. You will ensure safety, quality, and production standards are met through structured programs and clear coaching.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with production leadership, development of training materials, and ongoing program improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 4+ years in manufacturing, electrical, or technical environments.
• Experience in training, onboarding, or workforce development preferred.
• Ability to develop or deliver structured training programs.
• Experience working cross-functionally with production leadership.
• Knowledge of electrical/mechanical schematics and safety/quality practices.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methods.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead structured onboarding programs for technicians.
• Deliver hands-on and classroom training on assembly processes.
• Ensure new hires meet safety, quality, and production baselines.
• Develop training materials and standard work.
• Continuously improve programs from feedback and data.
• Support rollout of new processes and product changes through training.
• Track training progress and skill development.
