Job summary

Powerus in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Manufacturing Training Lead to develop hands-on training and certify production technicians on assembly processes.

You will build curricula for soldering, cable and harness, mechanical assembly, and conformal coating, deliver IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 training, and track certifications.

This role partners with production and quality to drive defect-reduction through targeted training and onboarding for new hires.

Qualifications

• Hands-on soldering experience including through-hole and surface-mount techniques.
• Experience training production personnel in electronics or electromechanical manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610.
• Ability to write work instructions and visual training aids.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain training curriculum for soldering, cable and harness assembly, mechanical assembly, conformal coating, and related processes.
• Deliver hands-on training on IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 workmanship standards.
• Qualify and certify technicians against internal and customer-required standards.
• Evaluate technician proficiency through practical assessments and workmanship audits.
• Maintain training records and certification tracking.
• Work with production and quality to identify recurring defects and develop corrective training.
• Update training materials as new products and processes enter the line.
• Conduct onboarding and skills assessment for new production hires.
