Job description

Job Overview

Hubbell is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support production and operations at our Mayville, WI facility. The role involves engaging in engineering, quality, and continuous improvement activities within the Utility Automation manufacturing site.

A Day In The Life
  • Support production, quality, and manufacturing engineering to sustain and improve performance.

  • Create standard work instructions and documentation for process and product changes as needed.

  • Provide technical support and training to direct labor employees.

  • Support Quality Control planning, product testing, and part inspections.

  • Participate in the ISO 9001 certification process and maintain the Quality Management System.

  • Lead troubleshooting activities for process issues.

  • Assist in problem solving and troubleshooting for manufacturing.

  • Support the corrective action process.

  • Initiate and participate in continuous improvement activities and kaizen events.

  • Support ergonomic improvements in manufacturing areas.

  • Handle Process Engineering Change Orders and collaborate with Product Engineering on product changes.

  • Ensure all products as-built meet order specifications before shipment.

What Will Help You Thrive in This Role
  • Degree in a technical field preferred; relevant manufacturing experience and mechanical aptitude are considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or assembly environments.
  • AutoCAD skills are a plus.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP) is advantageous.
  • Strong continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience with ISO environments is beneficial.
