Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc. in Minnesota (Winona area) is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support manufacturing equipment, materials, and processes for on-time delivery and customer quality.

The role involves creating programs, maintaining routings, and collaborating with engineers and leadership to drive improvements. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience and a 2-year Engineering or Technical degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 2 year Engineering or Technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management
• Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service and client focus

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains machine programs and profiles for new and existing product
• Assists in maintaining product routings, drawing packets, and interpreting instructions/specifications for manufacturing operators
• Troubleshoots operator problems; works with leadership on training and process improvements
• Communicates problems to Engineers and/or leader
• Assists in testing and qualification for new equipment, materials, and processes
• Assists in performing experiments for failure analysis and root cause analysis
• Recommends additional equipment needs to leadership and/or Test Engineers for the product debug areas
• Participates in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities
• Complies and follows all company security policies and procedures
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
