Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by management.
• 0-2 years manufacturing engineering experience in a precision machine shop environment.
• Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools.
• Able to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Attends design reviews and provides product evaluations to ensure manufacturability.
• Reviews engineering drawings prior to Production Release for compatibility with manufacturing techniques.
• Assists in make/buy evaluations and recommends in-house vs outside vendor capabilities.
• Evaluates tooling, fixtures, and equipment required to support manufacturing operations.
• Participates in Lean projects and activities including 5S, TPM, and VSM.
• Monitors daily production activities and proposes material/labor efficiency improvements.
