Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

Location: Manning Road, Billerica, MA

Type: Direct Hire

Shift: Second Shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)

Hourly Rate: $31-34/hr (including 10% Shift Differential)

Position Overview

Lighthouse Professional Services is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to support the consumable test strips production line at our client’s facility in Billerica, MA. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining automated process and packaging equipment used in the manufacturing of glucose test strips, including automated high-volume slitters and packaging equipment. Experience with automated vision inspection is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, clean, and repair high-volume process equipment daily.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) according to the maintenance schedule.
  • Troubleshoot problems with equipment, set up, clean, and repair process equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining spare parts and tooling inventory.
  • Assist with start-up, setup, debugging, and performance validation of new manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Interface with vendors for equipment repairs and refurbishment solutions.
  • Assist in process capability studies, equipment installation qualification, and process validations.
  • Train production personnel on the proper operation of automated equipment.
  • Create process and inspection criteria visual aids.
  • Promote a clean and safe work environment.
  • Document equipment status and communicate effectively with management and team members.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Manufacturing background in medical devices within an automated/semi-automated environment is a plus.
  • Strong team-oriented individual with mechanical aptitude and quick learning ability.
  • Familiarity with equipment such as micrometers, voltmeters, and calipers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with SPC in a production environment is a plus.
Education & Experience
  • Associate’s degree in automation or proven automated process mechanical background is a plus.
  • At least 2 years supporting high-volume manufacturing equipment.
