Job summary

Oatey is seeking an Assembly Technician in Shakopee, MN to proficiently assemble components for a variety of plumbing products. You will read procedures, follow daily builds, and ensure accurate documentation of production outputs.

The role requires basic math, good communication, and the ability to operate machinery, read blueprints, and measure with precision. 1–2 years in manufacturing preferred; HS diploma or equivalent welcomed.

Qualifications

• Basic math, reading and writing skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate machinery.
• Ability to read blueprints or willingness to learn.
• Accuracy in measuring.
• Decision-making skills.
• 1–2 years in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or Assemble components according to SOPs by reading, understanding and following procedures.
• Follow daily schedule for assembly.
• Prepare and assemble components and materials as needed for daily schedule build.
• Order raw materials where appropriate.
• Set up equipment and tools for daily build.
• Stage product and label where appropriate.
• Document completed and incomplete product.
• Other duties as assigned.
