Job summary

Oatey Company in Shakopee, MN seeks an Assembly Technician to proficiently assemble components for large and small products. You will read SOPs, follow daily schedules, prepare materials, set up equipment, and document output while maintaining quality standards.

Candidates should have basic math and reading/writing skills, the ability to operate machinery, and a willingness to learn blueprints. 1–2 years in manufacturing is preferred, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Basic math, reading and writing skills required.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate machinery and read blueprints or willingness to learn.
• Accuracy in measuring and decisive in daily tasks.
• 1–2 years in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or assemble components according to SOPs by reading, understanding and following procedures.
• Follow daily schedule for assembly.
• Prepare and assemble components and materials for daily build.
• Order raw materials where appropriate.
• Set up equipment and tools for daily build.
• Stage product and label where appropriate.
• Document completed and incomplete product.
• Other duties as assigned.
